Die Bierkutsche hat unter Thai Führung eröffnet in Soi BJ und heißt jetzt Thai-Europe Restaurant.

Die Häuser auf der rechten Seite des Soi BJ, wo sich das Thai-Europe Restaurant befand, sind inzwischen abgebrochen worden.

Last week the German restaurant Bei Anton on Naklua Road opposite Soi 18 was closed.
So, I tried Bei Gerhard instead on Naklua Road Soi 31 at the left-hand side near the end of the soi.
They happen to have two cheap daily specials.
The soup of the daily special (Kraftbrühe mit Flädle) was excellent.
The Sauerbraten came in a very big portion with a lot of Spätzle but, although it was not as bad as the one at Taverne on the corner of Naklua Road and Soi 18/1, it contained too much mustard and did not compare to the Sauerbraten at Bier Stüble on Soi 7.
Also at the defunct Thai-Europe Restaurant on Soi BJ the Sauerbraten was even better.
There were several farang customers, at least some of them speaking German.
At a long table a farang had apparently invited his extended Thai in-law family.
Some prices:
soup of the daily specials (taken separately) 50 baht,
Flädlesuppe (normal à la carte price) 110 baht,
Sauerbraten 280 baht,
Heineken 80 baht,
Warsteiner 130 baht.

Ein deutsches Restaurant ist heutzutage sogar schwer in der Heimat zu finden. Bei uns gibt es jetzt bereits mehr Italiener, Thais, Vietnamesen etc etc

 

Zugegeben, in Thailand esse ich zu 95% Thai (ab und zu einmal eine Pizza), jedoch ein gutes Bier aus Deutschland fehlt mir dann schon.

Zugegeben, in Thailand esse ich zu 95% Thai (ab und zu einmal eine Pizza), jedoch ein gutes Bier aus Deutschland fehlt mir dann schon.

Auch viele Türken in Deutschland und das schlimmste ist daß sie oft wie anständige deutsche Geschäfte aussehen.

... und Dank Mama Merkel gibt es jetzt auch bald viele syrische und afghanische Restaurants.

Wiedermal ein heikles Thema: Farangfood im Urlaub. Nicht, dass ich jetzt deutsche Kueche propagieren moechte, aber es gibt ein paar empfehlenswerte, deutsche Lokalitaeten. Wenn ihr noch welche habt: Immer her damit. smile.gif

 

  • Die Deutsche Schänke - Gut, guenstig, preislich fair.
  • Guidos Beer Corner - Das Restaurant gibt es nun schon seit ueber 15 Jahren in Pattaya und das will was heissen. Speisen sind ueppig, preislich laesst sich bestimmt aber noch was machen. :rolleyes:
  • Bei Anton - Eines der großen, deutschen Restaurants in Naklua. Preislich und geschmacklich einwandfrei!
  • Bei Gerhard - Sehr beliebt bei vielen Expats. Ich selbst war nur einmal dort und nicht sehr begeistert.
  • Klein Heildelberg - Wohl der Klassiker...
  • Die Bierkutsche - Das älteste, deutsche Restaurant in Pattaya - manchen finden es schmeckt auch so. Andere finden es dort Klasse.
  • Das Berliner Bistro - Mein Favorit, wenn es um platte, riesige Schnitzel oder Curry-Wurst geht (ja, nach sechs Wochen Thailand braucht man einfach etwas «einheimischen Stoff»).

Wie sieht's mit euch aus? Kennt ihr noch weitere, gute deutsche Restaurants?

 

 

 

 

Lebt der noch ? Die letzten 3 male war ich dort und jedes mal war Geschlossen :rolleyes: muss aber sagen das war OffSeason macht Er dort immer Urlaub in Deutschland?

 

ansonsten Guidos Beercorner .... BBQ Teller ist geil ,einmal bezahlen´& soviel Essen wie Du willst ...und Guido ist ne klasse Typ!

Klein Heidelberg ist sehr gut aber ziemlich Teuer !

Anton find ich nicht so toll ...ist irgendwie wie Kantinen Kueche Feeling..

Bei Gerhard .hmmmmmm alle Quatschen ueber Ihn und wie gut das Essen sein soll .........ich pers. fands ok aber nicht besser als anders wo.

Deutsche Schänke ist auch gut!

Schnitzel Wirt ist gut und Schnitzel Peter auch !

I thought they had moved nearby, but I couldn’t find them.

I don't know the place, but from the German 'Farang' magazine: an neuer Stelle in der Naklua Road Soi 27 („Soi Roy Lung“) wiedereröffnet (September 2015). Opposite the Dang Apartment.

Merkel Mama nennen ist geschmacklos, eine Beleidigung für echte Mutter.

Angela Kasner hat zwar einen Merkel und einen Sauer geheiratet, hat aber selber keine Kinder.

I’ve walked up and down Soi 27 and have only seen somewhere a blackboard with “Käsekuchen”.

Perhaps I should have looked behind the corner at the end of the soi.

Google maps (street view) still shows Anton on Naklua Road corner of Naklua 27, but also stating that it was permanently closed now.

Funny thing is, on the street view image the place is full of patrons, wondering why it didn't last. Sorry, looks like the place ain't no more.
