A couple things come to mind:

 

This makes me nervous.  If these things are out there, how long before some idiot decides to use them?  What if the idiot had found them instead of the police?

 

If these were left because someone did not want to get caught with them, it should be safe to assume they were not worried about having the grenades before the coup.  Does this imply that the military does not accept bribes?

 

And on a side note about bribes, I was just informed that 2 BG friends recently were sent to the Chonburi prison on drug charges.  One has a sponsor with deep pockets and a generous heart.  Could not bribe their way out during the coup perhaps?
