areca lodge Vs LK empress

In comparison which of the two are better in terms of location,facilities, proximity to bars, restaurants and agogo's.

i always stay in Areca Lodge and his time want to change to another hotel or guesthouse.I know that LK empress a costlier then Areca but is the cost justified in terms of location facilities etc.

I think so, yes. Go for the Empress. Excellent location on Beach Road.

This is not a comparison of apple to apple. Empress is much better but Areca is OK if you are into Soi LK Metro area.

Stayed at both and LK empress is far more superior.

I have only stayed at LK empress but I liked the fact I could walk across the street in the afternoon & find a quality freelancer on beach road, and just a short walk or ride to Walking Street.Wifi was bad if your room was next to building instead of road(wingman had bad wifi, I did not), liked that they had a steam room and sauna to sweat out the booze in the am.i recommend and will stay there next year, sometimes paying the extra dollar is worth it

not true, Areca has relaxed their policy.
