Some photos from Ayutthaya

Recommended Posts

My TGF'S mother's boss hired two minivans to take her workers to make merit at Ayutthaya. Apparently she does this a few times a year, gets them away from the place of work, a bit of bonding, make merit. Anyway, I was invited to tag along as I had nothing on, and my girl was at her office all day. We visited nine temples in the Ayuttaya area during the day, and it was hot, damn hot.

Haha yeah, by the end of the day I was all templed out. I think I was always the first to get back into the airconditioning in the minivans. It was so hot :)

Been there in January, I'm not good at taking pictures of large objects...

unlucky ending to the trip as the display on my camera got broken when the tuk-tuk driver let the tuk-tuk roll back then suddenly and rather enthusiastic opened the throttle. It almost threw me out the back of the vehicle.

Nice shots.

I'll be spending the next four days in Ayutthaya. I'll see what kind of pics I can produce as well.

Some of those temple ruins date back to the 1400's I believe.

You wouldn't know it today, but around 1700 that was the world's most populated city. It was the capital of Siam and was the first city in the world to reach a population of 1 million.
