Only saw the title and was thinking 'beer' ... not a great idea to go swimming after drinking all day .

I've been to Samae Beach and swam all the way to the red and white 'fence' around the bay. It's a long way from the beach and if I had suddenly become unable to swim any further, I would have suffered the same fate.

There is no rescue guard whatsoever that could have heard my screaming, so out there one is totally delivered to the gods and his own swimming ability. I was so wise to at least have a meal right before my swim. Oh, and no alcohol, which is the critical difference between me and the Russian.

 

Swimming out there by oneself is riskier than bb-ing a BR FL. That's for sure.
