The 15 days at land crossings is nothing new. It just looks like a lot of hot air to make it look like they are on the job. I doubt anything will change.

It states that they MAY be limited which I believe has always been the case.

I don't believe they will enforce anything new, at least not consistently or officially. Especially right now, when Thailand is losing tourist dollars. I think Scumbag is absolutely correct on this.

They have already started enforcing the 15 days and no more than three consecutive crossings at some border control points, therefore I should check with whatever visa company you intend to do a border run with.

I think the highlighted bit might be important. There was a story a while ago about another crossing doing something similar. There were reports of some people having issues at that particular crossing but nowhere else. I haven't heard anything since.

Difficult to keep up with the enforcement areas mate as they seem to change :Evil_Grin2: , that is why I suggested checking with a border run group. This past week they have started to enforce the rule for border runs from Phuket. I also saw something about the enforcement in Soi 5.

As always you pays your money and takes yer chances  :Grin3:

Isn't this the same old - same old? I believe for many years it was like this - only 15 days stamp at a land border and limits of 3 per year. So did the rules losen up a bit and are now tightening again?

Women are made to be loved, not understood.

Thats about the sum of it, rule was introduced enforced, let slip but has now raised its head again on specific instruction from Bangkok. only information coming in from BMs will tell us how wide the enforcement is, if at all outside the southern areas.

Same thing with the 90 day reporting, that's an old one, been around for decades, then they slacked off and weren't enforcing it, then some years ago they brought it back in again.

    • Hi Guys

As many of you know we have been running now for 16 years and apart from one brief time when we were allowed PayPal, so could use the inbuilt donation function, we have tried to avoid asking for donations. We have certainly avoided being in anyones face about it.

      Sadly that has now changed.

The forum currently costs around $900 a month to operate. That includes Bangkok and Philippines but PA makes up the vast majority of it. This fee covers forum hosting, image hosting, notification emails and support.

Before anyone says "its expensive" please be aware we have tried for years to find better for cheaper - it just doesn't exist for the size we are. Also a lot of hosts wont Touch us anyway. Our current host is actually cheaper than the previous one but that brings its own problems.

      Moving on -

I would like to stress there is NO obligation whatsoever. Also, whatever happens the forum is going no-where!

Donators can CHOOSE to have their donation listed (probably in this thread or we can make a new one) or to remain anonymous. Likewise they can CHOOSE whether the amount is published or not.

There is no minimum, or maximum for that matter. ANY donation will be very gratefully received. We are very aware that many members are also having it tough these days.

We are still unable to promote/post PayPal addresses etc on the forum so would ask that anyone who would like to make a donation to PM me, or ask me here to PM you and we will sort out details via that PM.
