What mean "Single" and "Twin"

Hi All,

For hotels, what does "Single" and "Twin" mean?

Do all rooms have double beds or do I need to state specifically?

Thanks,

Keith

Although Mr Frequent Flyer® may not agree... :Busted:

Twin = 2 beds, usually double or full size beds

Single = 1 bed, normally Queen size

San Francisco Cocksucka !!!

"Hey, you ever hear, Tom, the Chinese whore has a ancient way of milking ya of yer sorrow, your loneliness and that awful feeling of bein’ forsaken?"

"Seems to me that’d leave you with nothing."

Hum, this has bothered me many times, I think it is not so clear! For some hotel, it is as you said.

Some others use single and twin in respect to the number of occupants in the room, which is a matter (gor gf hotel) of how many breakfrast/day are included.

And lastly, some use single for a single small bed, twin for 2 small beds, and double for 1 large bed....This bother me a lot because a double large bed is really a must have for me! I usually ask on my internet reservation, to have a confirmation, but I do not have a 100% foolproof technique yet :( . Fortunately, in low season I am able to change rooms if there was a mistake, and I never go in really high season (mid november - enf of february)

From my experience:

twin- has 2 beds, be them small or large

single- one bed usually large

double- one bed that is large
