i didnt look into it while i was in patt .. but in bkk.. the price seem to be higher for the system.. so i would advise you to buy it from your home land.. so if it does brake the you can return it...

but you can find some "second hand" system in the market for very cheap price. but i would think the item is "hot" since the price was so dame cheap...

its BETTER to be PISSED OFF then PISSED ON!!!..

Last time i was in bangkok i was looking for a Nintendo DS, the prices where about 15% higher when compared tot he UK. What was cheaper was the chips that you can get for them so you can d/l games.

I'm looking to get a PSP from bangkok, either from phantip plaza or saphan lek market, they start from around 6,500 baht and you can get an 8gb card for around 2000. They have updated firmware for movies and games too.

Most things like games consoles, phones, computers, cameras are more expensive in Thailand than the UK.

Hi,

Consoles in Pattaya are much more expensive than in Europe or US. If I need to buy one, I always ask a friend, who lives in Europe, to buy it for me. When I bought my last PS2 (3years ago), price in Europe was 150 € price in Thailand 12 000 thb…Today an Xbox 360 is 25/30 000 thb, so much more expensive than in Europe or US. The difference is very important for PSP or DS to.

The advantage is, of course, price of games 80 thb for PS2 and 100 for WII Xbox or PSP…

Cheers

Not too sure about details but most computer/electrical goods dont seem to be much cheeper than in UK.

Dubai, Kuala Lumpar and Singapore all have great bergains but not Thailand it seems.

Cheers Mick

I got my 2nd hand psp for only $90 here in the US ~ 2700 bhat, included memory cards, cables, charger, case. Then I just upgraded the firmware, very easy to do, and download whatever game I want to play. It was quite useful on the long plane trip to and from thailand.
