It's probably worth that in original condition but as it's customised it's lost collector's value.

In most western countries "extras" added to a car or motorcycle don't really have an added value to the vehicle unless you are purchsing a fully customised vehicle, especially if build by a "famous" builder/customiser

If it's got Mitsubishi running gear, as suggested elsewhere,  it would be a surprise if the was worth half that being asked. Just sayin'!

It's basically worthless.Would be fine if original but unfortunately it's a bastard of the highest order.

At this point it needs to have 3 inches cut out of the roof, slammed to the ground and shoehorn a big block Chevy into it.

Then you may have something.

I disagree, it's far from worthless. Of course if a buyer wanted an original matching number Citroen avant then yes, to that sort of person this car is of no value (unless the original running gear was still available and no permanent damage was done in the conversion). But you'd have to ask why would that type of person be looking in Thailand? It's the last place to find stuff like that in general.

There is a large and growing worldwide market for people who want cars with the character and soul of yesteryear but the reliability and convenience of today. Running an original Avant in LOS would be a proper pain in the ass requiring regular major wallet surgery and downtime. A labour of love over and above imo. This car will appeal to someone who wants something different, a bit quirky but also reliable. Someone who doesn't care or has never heard of a Citroen Avant. Good cars like that are rare in Thailand and therefore can command a premium. So whether it's worth the asking price is a question only the eventual buyer can answer.

Some examples of the market for cars with old outsides and modern internals, those pictured are on a different level of course but the market trickles all the way down to cars such as the OP

There are lots of other companies who specialise in re manufacturing old classics inc E Types, jag Mk2s, 911s etc etc
