royal asia lodge hotel

Featured Replies

Hi guys has anyone stayed there recently, is it ok, i am looking for a hotel with a pool, that is reasonably priced. Any help would be good.

I have stayed there a few times on Soi 8. It is pretty far down the street from Sukhumvit but they have a tuktuk that will come up to pick you up. As you walk down the street on the right hand side down the side street there is a big red button on the wall that you hit and it rings the guy if he is not up that way and he will come down and get you. I have never used the pool but looked at it once. Not huge. The staff has always been friendly and when I was there last June they were tearing up stuff to remodel and should be done by now. They had safes in the room and mine would not work one time but the manager assured me that nothing would disappear from the room and nothing did. The breakfast you can get there is not free and not worth it...better to go over to Food Land or somewhere else to eat breakfast....like Grand Business Inn on Soi 11 across Sukhumvit.

it would be interesting to know, where you book from, i.e which hotel website is cheaper... here are the two i try and compare against for obvious reasons

R24 (same as sawatdee website)

you can book direct through their website royalasialodge.com i have stayed there for the past 5 years as i love the location and what always appealed to me was the view from the pool on the roof and because of that fact i tended to ignore some other aspects of the hotel , but when i was there this year in january they had built an extension on top of the roof blocking off the great view , so onto the hotel itself the rooms are clean , big beds , tv , showers ok ( water could be a little hotter ) , in room safes great ( when they work ) , staff are friendly but not enough people on reception so if 4 or 5 people check in and 2 or 3 people check out at the same time then it takes Sooooooo long , even though they have renovated the patio and all in all its ok , the room rates have gone up in the last 2 years and for what they charge you can get better cheaper , im looking into the Salil hotel same street but no pool for my trip next year.

"And were you pleased?" they asked Helen in Hell.

"Pleased?" answered she,when all Troy's towers fell;

And dead were Priam´s sons, and lost his throne?

And such a war was fought as none had known;

And even the Gods took part; and all because

Of me alone! Pleased?

I should say I was!"
