Bake N Brew on Soi Xcite - breakfast, sandwiches, cakes/pies, coffee, etc

Nice little place, just stopped in the for the first time today.

Large outdoor covered patio, and aircon seating inside, clean and comfy, feels like a western cafe.

Good variety of various coffee drinks, moderate selection of foods, and some very nice home made pies and cakes.

Free wifi and pleasant staff.

 

If you happen to be nearby, its worth popping in.

 

Location on soi xcite between soi buakhao and 3rd road... closer to 3rd road.

Thanks, Roadie. My normal coffee/brunch/lunch/cake hang around Buakhao is Loaf on Lengkee. I've walked by this place a few times (coming and going, going and coming?) from Bliss, so it's good to know there's a nearby alternative.

Yes. This is usually a spot when coming back from Bliss Lounge or some times from A Team bar (now closed). 

 

Their coffee is quite good and some of the places in Pattaya who know macchiato.

I don't often eat western breakfast, but I was getting my car washed around the corner so I stopped into Bake 'n Brew for their 160 baht big American breakfast. Excellent.

 

The place looks absolutely great since they remodeled, too. I usually don't care much about decor and all that, but the place is very clean and well designed, and just plain comfortable. In fact, it's too good for the run-down area.

 

Saw a few other things on the menu I'd like to try--sandwiches and sausages and pasta. I'll be back if I can get off my lazy ass.

I wish to toss in my 2 cents as we yanks say. I was searching for another restaurant on Soi Excite (One Thai, with a green roof) but could not find it and had just walked by Bake n Brew. It has a bread buffet for 65 Baht and I thought it was just fine. And the shop is clean and in great condition especially for the area. I would go back if I was on Soi Excite again.

the green roof is 100 meters or so past bake and brew on the same side.

Maybe 100 meters before third road.

Breakfast set 4 is my favorite. (185 THB, in case I remember it correctly.)

 

Including a second coffee or tea for the BF, would be very appreciated IMO. As well I found better coffees around.

 

The waitresses, particularly 'Cherry', are doing a great job.

I’m a regular here, can’t find a recent thread, so a recent review below and a cross section of some of the breakfasts I enjoy regularly..

“Outstanding value - English breakfast set at 165฿ (and you can swap any item on the plate for something at equivalent cost from 'extras', or pay the slight difference). No hassle, they just get on with the job. 

The bread buffet - just look at it - included. Fantastic fresh bread, all varieties. Help yourself to bread AND butter. AND proper jam. 

Decent orange juice, not freshly pressed, but good. Glass not stuffed full of ice cubes.

The 60฿ extra was for the coffee upgrade from a single (quality espresso blend) Americano to a large cup cappuccino with a double shot.

And to cap it all, once you've racked up 1000฿ spent on your loyalty card, you get 100฿ off your next bill.

Honestly, I can't think of anywhere that comes close in town for this kind of value for money and decent quality as well.”

Consistent standards, efficient, good location. Parking on the waste ground for cars so long as there isn’t a festival or fair going on. New menu due out start of Jan. I hear there may be some slight price increases...

Ate there a few times, used to like going for their Massaman curry but last time I went it wasn't as good as previously and not bothered going back. Nice setting though and always saw some pretty girls eating there as well.

New girl started a few days ago, Am,  also really nice. They've had a few issues with staff recently...

Seems the staff issues sorted out, went for breakfast early last week and served by very pleasant waitress.  Went in a week later and she asked me if I wanted the same as I had a week before, I checked to make sure she had remembered correctly, she had!   If she was the new girl mentioned above she is a very quick learner and I hope she is there next time I go there after Songkran.

Now , this Cafe is one of my favourite place for breakfast . Had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon few times , awesome , also had British breakfast  excellent . Prices not cheap but very reasonable .  You get the best quality/ quantity  for  a reasonable price.

Have been there for breakfast many times during the last 2 years and the food was always good. Only the hash browns were a bit to fluffy last November. Unfortunately one of my favorite serving girls named Pattaya stopped working there cause of the inner problems. The place is still worth for a late breakfast.
