Too bad Malaysia didn't research the manifest a little better in the first place.

Of course, this could have still just been a terrible accident.

Hate to think it was just an accident, I fly on 777-200ER over the Pacific when I visit SEA.

I know AA flights to Oz are very strict on passport scrutiny and I would say the same would go for those to India. Since I look very SE asian I'm always interrogated before being allowed on board. No too sure if Europeans are given the same treatment on a flight to China and since those passports stolen were European then maybe security was lax...

It appears the tix for the guys w/the stolen Italian & Austrian pps were issued by Six Stars Travel Ltd in Pattaya. I could see Thai Immigration fucking up & missing a stolen pp, but I don't see them not collecting the huge overstay fees. I suppose with E-Tickets & all, they could have been in KL already. Not sure these guys weren't just run of the mill criminals though. Nobody has claimed responsibility, Malaysia is saying the flight turned back, & if a terrorist is going to blow himself up, why not just use your own pp. Kinda risky using an old stolen one.

Passports were reported long ago in the report I read. Is there not a database for this shit that is checked when you go thru immigration? Wtf are those guys doing, anyway?

.... Oops, never mind, I live in Malaysia, I know what they are doing ....

I think there is if you are a know international criminal on the lam with an arrest warrant out with Interpol. It appears that there is no database for stolen passport. At this point one stolen passport would be a co-incidence but they are talking about to now with two other suspicious names...

Well... I feel shame of this country
