Only in Thailand. Plane was late getting in, so missed my 8am prepaid bus trip to Pattaya. Got to counter. Lady tells me, "next bus 10am. You pay again." Instead of arguing over 250 baht, i just smiled at her and said, "I know I am back in Thailand now!" Will never prepay again.

You're kidding right? A legitimate reason for being late? Bell did not lose money. They got my original money plus someone else probably. Then they got me again. Heared of customer service? I did not get upset because it was 8 dollars.

Or if you don't have a stated connection on your ticket with a transfer to the bus.

I can see your point, but casinoclub has a point too.  Unless you get in touch and rearrange bookings, any business will consider you've forfeited your place and charges if you simply don't turn up on time.  Your airline would do it to you, and so would your hotel, anywhere in the world.

 

Naturally you couldn't have let Bell know you were going to be late, being as you were stuck a few thousand metres up in the air on a late flight, but no-one's going to give a damn about that.

 

It's a bugger of a way to start your trip, but as you say, only a few dollars lost in the end.  The main thing is, you got there!

I usually take "The Limmo Pattaya." Good service. Thought I would save a few $$. Have taken the bus before. Will take the bus again. But, I WILL NOT prepay with a reservation. That is all.
