hi I will be over from march 18th bringing an iphone 5 silver 16gb mint condition was given to me by customer in my taxi on strength of them returning with fare (they never returned) the phone is blocked reported as lost in uk but will work in any other country if anyone interested in buying this phone pm me cheers ps not interested in morality of my sale been bumped by non paying customers in my  taxi too many times to have a  conscience lol

42 pound fare  and a 15 minute wait hoping they came back thought they would defo return for an iphone 5 but now you mention it if the customer had nicked the phone it would have been no use to him ! been done before with a beautiful young lady who left me here handbag again thought what girl wouldn't return for her bag found out later that its common for girls to take out an old handbag with crap in it to cover the price of a taxi home cant fault them for ingenuity lol

If you're sure it will work outside of the UK you may be able to sell it on eBay.

Also, it probably would have happened by now but if the 'find my iPhone' feature is enabled they may be able to pinpoint its location.

my understanding is that it will only work in ASIA or AFRICA,not in europe,the ismi number is blocked,

yes not joke I just had a phone sent here but didn't get here from USA.if you want I'll trade my iphone phone 4 and baht or buy your phone.I can figure how to get it unlocked.I will need to wait 2 more weeks to get new phone.calls me I'm in Koh Chang but back in patts on 13or14...#is 09-44019151..call any time

Tukom will unlock it for 500 baht... did my Sony Xperia not long ago... there is also a place opposite BigC central that does em too... no biggie, they just do a factory reset on them and mine now works in every country including thailand and australia on any network...

iPhones do not unlock the way that other handsets do.  Apple keeps a master list of phones that are unlocked.  If your phone is not on that list, then it is not unlocked.  If someone at Tukcom claims that they can unlock an iPhone 5 they are most likely cheating you.  For awhile, there were people at AT&T that could get you on the Apple list but that loophole is now closed.

yeh not sure about that, but could be true as you say, I had a samsung that was not realeased in Thailand but was in australia and they said they could not unlock it.  They said that they can unlock any phone if it is released in Thailand so might be worth giving that mob a go... its on the corner of Pattaya Klang and Soi Arunatai.  Directly opposite  Big C Central.  I will be in town next week, if you get stuck then give me a call on my mobile after Tuesday and I can take you if you need it

The iPhone 5 is unlocked via r-sim 9 it's a "spoof unlock " it now accepts any sim I am currently using true move and have also tried detac ! Regards to unlocking iPhones they can all be unlocked but it is expensive up to 4500b for factory unlock I chose cheaper method of r-sim 9 only 750b. the way factory unlock works is people on the inside at apple unlock phones for a fee on the side so to speak but they cannot un bar an iPhone from country network when reported lost or stolen this is controlled by the networks so phone currently will accept any sim in every country except uk hope this helps
