J&P Court Worst Experience!

Unfortunately I have recently had the single worst experience and treatment at any hotel in pattaya in the last four years I have visited, at J&P court on soi LK.

Although I have heard good things about jp court, this was my first attempt at staying there.

I emailed to request and fully confirmed a booking over 1 month in advance of my arrival. I arrive on the confirmed date and was told no, I've given away your room. You need to confirm once again, one week before arrival. I was not once told of this in the email or any communication before arrival. I have the email transcript available for anyone who wishes to see it.

The manager refuses to listen or even read the email I have provided.

This may be acceptable customer service and treatment to some, but this is completely unacceptable by any Western standards I know.

I will never being my business to this establishment again and I urge you, for your own sakes, to avoid jp court on soi lk if you value reliable, friendly, or honest customer service.

I always book in advance and then confirm 7 days before.......I thought that was standard practice?

Even so I arrived at one guesthouse after confirming 7 days before, to find the place full on arrival.......pissed me right off especially when I was really tired from the flight......but I always check (not book) other guesthouses/hotels by email for availability 7days before, so if my booking has been given to a walk in, I know where to go next.

J&p is. A shite hotel anyway

The hotel did you a favour

I tend to give the hotel a 'heads up' of my arrival details a week prior but they don't tell you to do this.  Just self preservation I suppose.

My Pattaya budget is perfectly adequate as long as I don't spend any of it

Where?

Not anywhere I have reserved a hotel room.

Grab a map, or a globe. See how "western" Thailand is.

Tip: not at all.

Find a new hotel and relax.

And why would it be acceptable either "customer service" or "treatment" to anyone?

I never book in advance , so avoid ever having this problem which is not untypical at some lower cost establishments in SE Asia. When ever I've stayed on soi Lengkee I've always found decent accomodation within 5 mins of arriving. I usually check in for one night and spend an hour looking at what else is on offer in town to suite my needs and take it from there.

I checked in to the Sutus court and upon entering the room with the bellboy I/we noticed water everywhere from the unplugged fridge. We used the towels to sop up the mess and unfortunately the bellboy forgot to replace them even tho it was obvious and we talked about it. Upon returning from a night on the town the towels were still pretty nasty so I went down to the front desk to ask for replacements and the desk girl would rather argue the issue than supply me with usable towels.

Staff are often useless if not worse.

i'd rather eat a fishes face than a steak and kidney pie
