I will arrive in Don Muang and want to meet a friend arriving at Suvarnabhumi on the same day.

I do not have a connecting flight at Swampy.

Does anyone know if I can pay to get on the Don Muang to Swampy shuttle?  Any idea what is the fare?

Cheers

Ghafar

I have got away with showing my boarding pass for the flight that I've just arrived at DM. I believe that they want to ensure that the bus is used by bone-fide travellers.

I have also seen money surreptitiously change hands between the lady at the"desk" and a guy who did travel on the bus.

Alternatively there is a "shuttle" minibus that is used mainly by airport staff that leaves from the car park to your right as you exit DM. Usually 40 baht but may be charged double if you can't keep your bag on your knees.

Live for the moment. Tomorrow may not come.

Not sure if you pay,You have to show, ticket, itinery to the guy sitting at the desk before boarding. So show him your Itinary, he cannot read English, think he just writes down the flight number you arrived on and off you go.

Yeah just have AN itinerary, maybe a past one printed out,  and you are good to go!

This version of me will not stay the same, tomorrow I will be different.

If you want to make sure all goes well just make your own itinerary by editing an old one and printing it... :GoldenSmile1:

If you have at ticket or a boarding card into DMK you can use the free shuttle also if you do not have a flight from BKK. It's usefull if you want to take the bus from BKK to Pattaya but arrive in DMK.

Nothing in Thailand is 100% sure.

Just an update on this topic.

They wouldn't let me on the Don Muang-Suvarnabhumi shuttle unless I can show a ticket for departure from BKK, even though there was only 1 other passenger on the bus 5 min before departure!  :Cuss4:   There was also a sign at the bus counter saying th same thing. I offered to pay the fare but the guys at the counter were adamant abt the air ticket.

Since my flight was already 1 hr late I didn't argue and just hopped onto a passing cab. Fare was just over 300b, the driver didn't use the highway and the journey took abt 55min (I arrived abt 12.30pm on a weekday).

So maybe those board members with old tickets for departure from BKK should upload them to help out the forgers  :GoldenSmile1:

Mr T and others charge anywhere up to 800 Bht more I believe. Time could be an extra 30 minutes to an hour.
