The Davis

I stayed at President Park last week as usual.

Its right next to the Davis

I am told the Davis ios very sumptuous but as it claims to have all rooms and fabrics designed by Mr Chuvit himself I wonder if sumptuous means gaudy!?

Agoda have rooms at 2666 baht with 460 baht in reward points which is very good value if its as good as some people say.

I've stayed at the davis before. Very posh indeed, but I wouldn't stay there again.

I love the Davis, for the price it is amazing value. My only comment would be best with a LT GF as a little out of the way. They do not really like to many Bar Girls going in and out to much.

I like the Davis, but way down Soi 24 is just to far away from everything for me. The rooms are nice, with that nice setup of a window between bathroom & bedroom. I like to watch my girl shower. For those who are shy, there is a blind.

I think I paid around 2200 back in 2006.

It is an awesome hotel and they have a great nightly buffet around 600B. Very classy. Otherwise, it is not walkable to Sukhumvit. A motorbike is 20B to Emporium and BTS. The location is on Suk soi 24, but the Davis is so far down the soi that is very close to Rama 4, which makes it very easy to hop in a taxi to Silom.

I like the location as its close enough but far enough away. Five minutes to BTS for Nana, 10 minutes mocy to Cowboy. Also as you say easy for Silom (Patpong) too although I rarely go there.

I think a lot of people actually like to be a little away from the action iof they like relaxing days. President Park has 4 pools, and possible the best gym/spa/healthclub in Bangkok (free for guests). It aslo has a climbing wall (never done it) plus squash and tennis courts.
