Fire Damages Coconut Buyer’s Factory

A fire has damaged a coconut buyer’s factory after a woman set a fire to burn off trees and grass next to it. The fire quickly spread causing more than 1 million THB in damages.

PATTAYA – February 11, 2014 [PDN]; at 16.00, Pol.Col.Kampol. Leelaprapaporn, director of Huay Yai police station, Banglamoong, was notified that, TT& G Fibre factory, 3/2, Khaomaikaeo was on fire so he went with rescuers from Sawangboriboon Thammasathan foundation.

At the crime scene were 9 fire trucks from Khaomaikaeo, and Pong municipality, injecting water onto the fire which took around 1 hour to bring under control. After initial inspection the police found that an electric generator had been damage.

Asking Mrs.Wilawan Kaewrung, vice president of Khaomaikaeo Sub district administrative organization, she said that a woman had set fire to a nearby field but due to the wind direction the flames were blown towards the factory causing it to become engulfed by the flames. Luckily nobody was harmed and the police will question the woman further about the incident.
