A Medical Representative Snatches Gold Necklace Off Trainer’s Wife

A medical representative who had a lot of soccer gambling debts decided to snatch a gold necklace off a boxing trainer’s wife of a well known boxing camp. The victim fought back and was helped by locals to apprehend the thief. He was then sent to the police station.

SAMUT PRAKARN – February 10, 2014 [PDN]; at 8.30 p.m. Pol. Col. Sutthiroj Kraiwachirasith (Superintendent of Phrapradaeng police station, Samut Prakarn province) and Pol. Lt. Col. Prapas Mungkhung (Deputy Superintendent) detained Mr. Phukamol Kulladanon, aged 27, who was badly bruised was caught with a gold necklace weighting 2 THB, 3 various sizes of gold Buddha images, 1 mobile phone and 1 pawn ticket, 1 unattached license plate motorbike.

Pol. Col. Sutthiroj said that the police were notified from Mrs. Raksumon Koryingphankha, aged 44, residing at house no. 48/1 Moo 5 Tambon Bang Yor, Samutprakarn province (the victim) that she could capture the defendant who snatched her gold necklace at Phrapradaeng market, Tambon Talad, so she asked the officers to go to detain the defendant at scene and seized all exhibits to investigate at the police station.

Upon questioning Mr. Phukamol (the defendant) he confessed that he is a medical representative in Bangkok and he had a lot of football gambling debts so he decided to snatch the necklace off Mrs. Raksumon in order to sell it and get money to repay debts. He had done this 3-4 times before in the area of North Samrong police station and Ratburana police station.

The police charged him with the allegation of snatching property and sent him to the investigation officer to prosecuted further according to the Thai law.
