Hip Replacement Operation

Hi everyone,

                    Was wondering if any fellow addicts can help me.A very good friend of mine needs a hip

replacement operation.Whilst chatting to him recently he mentioned that he could not wait on the NHS

list here in England and was going to pay for the operation privately in London.He asked about Hospitals

in Thailand and I told him that some were amongst the best in the world for service and value.So does

anyone know of anyone having such an operation in Thailand and if so any information on quality of

service,price etc would be invaluable to him.He could recuperate in my house in Pattaya or rent an

appartment nearer to any Hospital.May I thank you guys in advance for any infotmation you can give.

The best place in the world to have a hip operation is Birmingham UK,where the hip re-surfacing produce was invented.

 

If your friend is suitable, a hip resurface will allow him to regain normal mobility ..play golf,ski,karate etc..

 

The operation is not as invasive as having a whole new hip..they just resurface your hip joint and give you back your youth..

about 1 month to recover they did one then the other as I was told the recovery time if doing both at once is quite a bit longer.

 

Unsure of the cost as I was working here in Pattaya I was covered by the government insurance so It cost me zero not 1 Baht

 

I am great walk with friends everyday 5-10K and not an issue

A English friend of mine had exactly the same situation and he had a replacement done in Queen Sirikit hospital down near Satahip and it cost about 240,000bht (I think) and he was very happy with the result.
