How to Transfer Photos from Camera to Galaxy Tab 2?

I'm leaving my laptop at home and taking my Galaxy Tab 2 since its much lighter and portable. I know how to transfer photos from my DSLR camera to laptop with Windows and posted here to PA but I never tried using Galaxy Tab 2 to do this.

 

So my question is how to use my Galaxy Tab 2 with my camera then transfer my photos and post it. Do I need software like Windows Live Photo Gallwery for Android?

 

Any Advice is appreciated.

OTG cable works great with my Panasonic G-5.  Leaving my laptop home and only bringing my Nexus 7.  It has a decent photo editor and links right up to my Picasa account.
