With so many Poms and Aussies living here, I cannot understand why there is no half-decent cricket competion. If it ever happens I will join a club as long as they place me at long on or long off as a fielder and make me bat last. Naturally, I would have to be in charge of the drinks. :Whistle:

Nightlyf yeah I agree an Aussie Rules Football team would be the way to go. They have teams all around the world I naturally assumed that there would be a competition in Pattaya when I was there.

 

Plenty of Aussies on here start one up.

Don't be so ignorant and try Google to learn about the great game of Cricket. It is similar to baseball but it requires a lot more intelligence and skill to play Cricket :Think1:

Would be nice to have a few cricket teams in Pats. Another excuse to go out there.

Cheers Shuggy and everyone else for the replies, even if they had no relation to cricket, it got people talking and maybe inspired some other sports teams!

 

Being bit a bit of an ageing sporting billy, its good to try and keep the body active....

Here's a thought with the Ashes coming around in 09 why don't we get a few BM's together & form an Aussie's Vs The Pom's game for about this time next year (I know that's a long way off) and do a bit like the Rideher cup thing. The Yanks, Canuks & Kiwis can be divided between the teams to even it all up.

 

Not sure of a venue, beach works for me, so long as we get beers & BG's on the sidelines, sound like the makings of a good day.

 

Anyone think this idea has merit?
