PATUMTHANI – February 4, 2014[PDN]; at Patumthani provincial police, Pol.Maj.Gen.Smitthi Mukdasanit, commissioner, Pol.Col.Amnaj Janjarern, vice commissioner, Pol.Col.Suntorn Himarat, detective director, Pol.Col.Naradej Tiparak, director of Kukot police station, Pol.Lt.Col.Prakot Narkyai, detective officer arrested Mr.Hog Peng, 50 years old, Mr.Tan Cheng Hog, 57 years old, Lee Jian Ting, 24 years old , all from Malaysia, with evidence, a digital camera, fake credit cards, and a copy of credit card paying bill.

Pol. Maj. Gen. Smitthi, revealed that on February 3rd at approximately 11:15am the police were notified that a foreigner used a an electronic card in an ATM but the machine rejected it so the suspect tried many different cards until he found some that worked, so the police coordinated with the Kasikorn bank to check. The bank clerk found it was a fake card and the data on the card was a person in the US. The police rushed to the scene and arrested 3 suspects.

All the suspects told police that they were from Malaysia; they made fake credit cards, and changed the name to be matched to the name of the card holder. They then came to Thailand, and used the cards to purchase goods and services, then took all the goods to sell in their homeland, they would get 10% of the purchase price.
