PATTAYA – February 4, 2014 [PDN]; at 10.00 a.m. Pol. Maj. Gen. Katcha Thartsart (Commander of Chonburi provincial police station), Pol. Lt. Col. Khongsak Boonsuesuwan (Deputy Superintendent of Nong Prue police station, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province), Pol. Lt. Col. Dechraphee Khongdee (Deputy Superintendent), Pol. Maj. Natthakarn Prathumtri (Inspector) together with forces of the police detective team made a statement about the arrest of Mrs. Samreang Fakhoom, aged 49, address 17/8 Moo 1 Tambon Pong, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province with exhibits of 99,800 amphetamine pills.

This arrest was a house known to police for keep large amounts of drugs the address was house no. 17/8 Moo 1 Tambon, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province. The drugs would then be sold to sub-agents in the area of Amphur Banglamung so the officers made a plan to arrest this drug dealer who was identified as Mr. Soonthorn or Tong Faijaidee, aged 31, who was a son of the house owner, but he ran away to flee from police therefore the police detained Mrs. Samreang (a mother of Mr. Soonthorn) then searched his room and found 99,800 amphetamines pills so the officers seized them for evidence.

The police perceived that the gang has a police officer who is the gang leader and he often contacts Lieutenant Colonel Yisey who is the biggest drug dealer in the northern part of Thailand in order to sell to the sub-agents in area of Chonburi province. However, initially the police charged Mrs. Samreang with an allegation of having type 1 drugs(amphetamines) in her possession for selling and will follow up to arrest Mr. Soonthorn or Tong Faijaidee and the members of this gang to be prosecuted further according to the Thai law.
