Airline is just OK, the planes are older than the other big airlines and the service is functional without flair but who cares if you got a good price. If you are traveling with a non european through Copenhagen it can be a real hassle with passport control, they make you go through passport control to move between terminals.

Just a quick report on SAS.

1St.

Flights between manchester and Copenhagen and back if your in economy, you have to pay for food and drink.

As a scheduled flight i find this a very poor service, and as a chap sitting across from me who questioned the steward about this was told its company policy and when questioned about having to buy water, he told the steward

it was more a case of a medical issue when flying at 30,000 ft in a pressurised cabin, the steward had no answer.

2nd

The long haul flight really was up to the quality of the Asian and Middle Eastern airlines, food only 2,not very good meals with a selection of drinks, but again if you want a drink outside of meal times you have to pay for it!!

And entertainment wasnt video on demand which i think they promote on there website.

Last of all the comfort of the seats reallly is not that good, after a few hours it feels like you have been sitting on a park bench.

Overall i doubt i would use them again,i did get a good price and the transfer times were good, but i think

i will stick to the Asian and Middle Eastern airlines.

How the times have changed! I flew them in 1994--Seattle to Vancouver and then on to Copenhagen and finally Moscow Russia. Econo class. It was like an all you can eat food and drink buffet. They were feeding us the entire trip. It was nuts. I was turning down food and drinks left and right. They even put TWO sandwiches in my seat pocket when I was asleep!!!

bolly

What... service... may I do you? Hmmm? You know I demand payment.--- I brought payment. Look! BAM!! An undead monkey! Top that!

Hehe... oh man how times have changed with SAS.... on European routes you buy everything, including mineral water and coffee... not kidding. Flew from Helsinki to Copenhagen in July, then to Aberdeen in Scotland all with SAS.

Their long haul is better however I flew Economy delux 3 years ago with them, it was ok then.
