Pattaya-Laos Visa Run - Which Company?

I need to do a visa run soon. It will be my first and I plan to get a double entry tourist visa from Vientiane.

 

Just wondering which is the cheapest, which is the best.. are they all run by the same company anyway with agents just doing the booking and taking a cut?

 

I sent an email to Key Visa already for a price.. awaiting reply.

I used the one on Soi 6 at Queen Vic. I went to Cambodia not Laos. I was getting my second half of my tourist visa. We went to Cambodia and back the same day. Breakfast before we left, bottled water during the ride and a meal when we returned. Sorry I can't say if they are the cheapest but I did think they were very professional. Oh, this was my first ever visa run and I went to Queen Vic a week in advance to just ask questions. They were very helpful in explaining all my options. I would recommend Queen Vic even if it's just for some information.  Take your passport with you the first time you talk to them. I say this just because I forgot mine.

I've made the visa run to Laos from the Queen Vic. What I appreciated most was only having to spend 5 minutes at the embassy in Vientiane, just so the official could verify you were a real person. It's not the cheapest service but they give good service. The all-night ride is grueling but they have a small breakfast waiting at the hotel upon your arrival. Get a van with some hot Russian girls, makes the voyage much more pleasant, and load up on liquor at the duty free shop for the trip back.

Load up with liquor on the way back!  Be careful as there are people watching how much you bring back with you.  We were in company with people in two other cars and we were stopped just south of Nong Khai.  The customs people searched our car and asked where all the cigs and booze was that came out of our minibus.  We had only the amount allowed so they couldn`t do anything but they did stop one of the other cars further south, they were fined 30,000 baht for cigs and booze above the legal limit!  Think people watch you in the car parks and inform the customs so they can get a kick back from them.

I have done the Laos Visa run from the Queen Vic. They only act as agents, Not the same as the Cambodian trip which they run themselves.

The bus was tiny and the driver erratic, but they got it all done pretty well in Laos.
