A fish vendor acted like he was possessed by a ghost which he claims a Cambodian man had curst him with black magic because he argued with the Cambodian about the amount of noise he makes in his room. Once the police put him in handcuffs he calmed down and acted normal again but was still tested for drugs.

SATTAHIP – January 30, 2014 [PDN]; at 11.00 a.m. a journalist reported that the special operation officers of National Command Center for Combating Drugs (NCCD) leaded by Mr. Phawat Lertmookda (Sattahip sheriff) were going to purchase drugs with marked banknotes in the area of Ampharam temple, Tambon Na Jomtien, Amphur Sattahip, Chonburi province. Then a man appeared and was acting like he was possessed by a ghost and he claimed that it had been done by cult (black magic).

Upon inspecting the man the officers looked at his ID card and his name was a Mr. Thanya Kaew-ngarm, aged 50, occupation, fish vendor, address 150/76 Moo 2, Tambon Takhien Tia, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province. He said that he wanted to see the abbot to ask for the sacred holy water that can repel black magic because 2 days ago he had argued again with a Cambodian man who lives in the room next to his room, the Cambodian man always makes lots of noise annoys him. Later that evening he could hear the Cambodian man praying and ever since then evey time he tries to go to sleep he convulses and cannot control himself as if he was possessed by black magic or a ghost. Initially, the officers had let him drink some holy water and sprinkle the holy water for him but he did not recover.

The officers observed him and he looked and acted like he had taken amphetamines so they asked to test his urine and it was violet in color so the officers handcuffed Mr. Thanya in an allegation of consuming drugs. But suddenly Mr. Thanya recovered and denied that he had taken any amphetamines but he had just eaten Tiffy painkiller. Therefore, the officers mixed Tiffy painkiller with water and put into the detector in order to test his alibi and they found he was telling the truth and was free to go.
