Unpacked the engine today and had a look.

Hmmmmmm,so for 15k you don't even get manifolds.lol.

572 is 9.4litres and 620 hp.

Cubes rule apparently.

Have to box in a bunch of the frame,as it will taco it when the power hooks up.

Also, with that much punch, you need it to stop.

Hence the 6 piston stoppers.Awsome kit.

What's happening there? Is it some type of paste or silicon to cover the welds?

Seam sealer,Pepe.

Everywhere there is a join that we replaced,we seal the seam.Trunk (boot) floor was reap laced so we run a bead around the whole perimeter to stop water coming in.

It's a Fusor product and it runs about $80 a tube.A good 5 tubes on this unit.

It so es in different viscosities for different applications.

this is the mid range which means it won't run too much.

Cheers.

Ok,in between fucking around on PA here this morning,we managed to get the engine, exhaust and rear end set.Hipefully body on this afternoon after lunch, but Apperently back in 66,they made cars out of sheetmetal, and when we lifted the body off,it had no 1/4's,roof or trunk floor on it.

Now it's fucking heavy.

I wasn't familiar with this car so did a google. Most of them for sale seem to be convertibles and look good. They don't seem to be as popular as a lot of the other muscle cars, are they common in Canada?

Friday and got the body on.Really starting to look tough now.Love the way it hunkers down.Shes gonna be fresh this thing.

Motivated to get it painted.

The big fella is coming out retirement to splash it.

Saturday with a box of beer is when I do my best work.

Painting is like golf...booze relaxes you and keeps the hands steady.

Well, this just goes to show how long a dream can take.

Although I've sold my shops and am doing basically nothing,I decided to continue to help get this beast done.

It's all gone back together, the sheet metal has been lined up,all holes drilled for emblems, bumpers have been hung and glass fitted.

Shaker hood is on,looks fucking tough.

Now we will start the mudwork.lolol.This shit takes time, but believe me,this ain't no Chip Foose done in 48 hours bullshit.

When it's finished it will be perfect.more to come when we start spreading flicker.

Superb work you've done on this restoration/customization.

Is selling the shops part of your previously expressed intent to live part or full-time in LOS? What is your plan to stay active and out of mischief (or in mischief)? ;)

Thanks for the great thread. :)

Thanks mate cheers.

I had a Multi national approach me last June and said that they wanted them, and when it was all said and the done, the numbers made sense.

The business is changing so quickly we I would've had to have re invested and pushed for another 10 years which would've taken me to 54.

I'm honestly doing nothing.hahaha.

I'm managing my commercial, properties and the gym and that's it.

Got a whole pile of cash and never been more afraid to spend it.lol.

We are definitely thinking Australia next year for a year and then Thailand for at least 6 months, but we will see.

I am having a great time doing shit that I have never had time to do in the last 10 years.

House needs a fence etc.

Thanks for the interest though mate.I appreciate it.

It's certainly been a work in progress, how much longer before she's ready to roll off the floor?

Looks mean you've done a good job. You might have to take a video when it's finished just so we can listen to that engine purr, bet it puts out a good note.

It will be a while yet.I have some video of the first fire up,will try to add it here.

Technologically speaking,I'm a bit weak.

We will let it sit for at least a month after primer to let it do its thing, before we paint.

We are painting it black first, then wet sanding and going with the top colour.

Metallic Green.
