Tata Motors’s Executive Falls To His Death In Bangkok

Karl Slym who was the Managing Director of Tata Motors (India) Co. Ltd. aged 52, fell from the 22nd floor of a luxury hotel in the Sathorn district of Bangkok, he was killed instantly. The police assumed that he might have family problems after they found a suicide note in his room.

BANGKOK – January 26, 2014 [PDN]; at 7.45 a.m. the police of Yannawa police station was notified that there was a foreign man that had fallen from the 22nd floor of a hotel in area of Sathorn district. He was killed instantly so the police rushed to inspect the scene.

At the incident there was a 25 stories luxury hotel where the officers found the corpse of Mr. Karl Slym, aged 52, British nationality, who was the Managing Director of Tata Motors (India) Co., Ltd. He had sustained broken arms and legs and was lying in a pool of blood and his wife named Mrs. Simmy Sallyn, aged 51, was sitting in shock beside her husband’s corpse and couldn’t talk to the police.

Upon initial investigation, the police perceived that Mr. Karl Slym was staying at the hotel with his wife since January 24, 2014 and they were going to check out on the day of the incident in order to go back to India. The officers also found a suicide note in the deceased’s room written to complain about his family problems but the police have to wait for the result of inspecting the fingerprints. However, initially, the police assumed that Mr. Karl Slym might have jumped to commit suicide due to his family problems.
