Police Arrest Drug Dealing Mother

SATTAHIP – January 24 [PDN]; at 12.30, Mr.Phawat Lertmukda, Sattahip Sherriff, with Mr.Chawat Teptup, security assistant district officer, and special operation of National Command Centre for Combating Drugs (NCCD) who used marked banknotes to trap drug dealers. They arrested a Miss Ornshuma Napattalung, 23 years old, for the possession of drugs for sale. She was caught with crystal meth, and the marked banknotes totalling 2,200 baht. Mr.Nikorn Pantong, 28 years old, Miss Jantima Nontapa, 19 years old, Poonyarit Noojanorn, 28 years old were also arrested for selling drugs at the laundry service, 175, moo 8 Banglamoong.

Mr.Phawat, the sheriff of Sattahip revealed that, he got information from a crystal meth dealer that the seller got drugs from a Miss Ornshuma. So they set up a sting operation to buy 1 G, or 1.9 grams of crystal meth with marked banknotes totalling 2,200 bah. They arranged meet at a laundry service where she was arrested along with the others mentioned above plus Miss Pae, a client.

Initially, Ornshuma pleaded guilty and had been doing it for a long time and had been arrested before for using. Now she turned to dealing because she had 2 kids and she had to find money for buying drugs. She told police that she would buy crystal meth from Tom Nongplalai, at 1,600 baht per G, and she would re-sell it making 2,300 baht.
