I was on the bus Saturday morning was supposed to leave 8 am actually left around 8.15 arrived Pattaya bus station 9.35 then transfered to a mini bus for final transfer to hotel good service.

Al.

p.s. When I told the taxi touts I was getting the bus I was offered a taxi for 1000 baht including tolls so if anyone needs a taxi there is no need to pay more than that.

Thanks for the useful information about BELL bus service. I sent a mail for our reservation for 3 tickets, within mins

the reverted to me with a confirmation mail. They charged 200 Bahts (in some of the forums the charges are mentions around 150bahts) But still i am happy about their immediate response and their drop-at- the- hotel facility.

Thanks

For anyone staying in Jomtien a good alternative would be the yellow bus no. 999 to the airport that leaves and returns to Soi Chaiyaphuk/Jomtien beach Road

Soi Chaiyaphuk is halfway along Jomtien Beach Road directly opposite the Tourist Information office, the bus waits just inside the Soi opposite the bus office

It arrives and departs from the Airport Transport Depot there is a free shuttle from the airport terminal to and from Airport Transport Depot.

Fare 106 Baht each way

Schedule

Jomtien - Suvarnabhum 09.00, 13.00, 16.00, 19.30 Tel. 038231142

Suvarnabhum - Jomtien 06.30, 09,00, 13.00, 17.00 Tel. 021344099

Here is a photo of the bus parked in Soi Chaiyaphuk. Tourist Information and Jomtien Beach Road in the background

Before it was 150 THB, they have risen their prices. Still a good deal, and gets you into Pattaya fast. (This bus is not always full, so maybe this is the reason why they charging more).

Prices are up around the world, no mystery there.

BTW, Bell is a pro operation.

Owned/operated by the same company that owns/operates the Pattaya coach station and the blue/white coaches.

Surprised the buses don't start earlier than 6am. My flight leaves 08.40 so there must be a need for one. Might decide on last night in Bangkok and catch the afternoon bus for 300 baht. Anyone know a decent priced hotel near to the airport ?

Greetings,

Is there a bus that goes to Rayong from where the Bell Bus drops you off in Pattaya? I asked that question to Bell's and they said the bus driver might have that information about a bus service to Rayong from Pattaya.

Thanks for all the help that others have given in this forum.

You can get on the bus at the airport without a booking if there are seats available.

Are these bell buses still in action? Seems like a good way to get to Pattaya.

Cheap, and you don't have to speak to the taxidriver all the way. Thanks for sharing this, will have to try it out on my next trip.

Yeah, they are still operating. Booked my seat for next Friday. It'll be the first time I've used them (used thelimopattya the last two time, but looking to save a bit of cash this time!) They seem to have a good reputation on here, and it took them less than 2hrs to reply to my email, so impressed so far.

:Grin3:

I booked the Bell bus on 19th Feb, as times were good as arrive 06.55 so booked 08.00 bus and was going too early to check in anyway so why pay 1200 for a taxi plus tip, so saved 1000 and trip went fine, good aircon coach and swift minibus transfer to hotel.

Was going to do return trip by 800 baht taxi but in the end got bus back as well, got there 45 mins earlier than I would have by taxi but saved another 800 baht-would defo use the bus next time if departure times were suitable, which they should be.

Used these folks in October when I arrived. Everything went exactly as advertised with very little confusion, very quick and comfortable trip not to mention inexpensive. They get my vote and my repeat business. Works for me

I'll use this info when I go back to the airport in September to get my connecting flight to Manila. I put some of the info already in my mobile phone. It's very usefull indeed.

You will make the bus and have about 1 hour and 15 mins to wait, I would just jump in a cab for 1000 why wait ?

Why wait?To save 850b for barfines/beer!
