Tourist Visa for Girlfriend and Daughter

Has anybody had experience of getting a tourist visa not only for your girlfriend but there children as well.

 

if anybody has any information on which forms etc and your experience. it will be the first visit for both of them to the uk.

 

Any help would be gratefully received.

I have sorted the visa for my TGF a few times to the UK without a problem, however she has no children so easier.  I know on the UK application form it asks about children, and whether they will be travelling with you.   

 

I think it depends for how long they will be in the UK, and if they are missing school etc.   A short month visit will not be too bad, but 6 months will be seen as a long time and would put doubt in the mind for the return.

 

The paperwork is fairly easy,  i.e.  on-line submission, on-line payment, both of which you print and your Thai lady takes to the embassy after you book her an appointment.  Lots of evidence of a relationship i.e. photos, phone records etc, bank statements, proof of your income and savings, proof of where she will live etc etc, plus a sponsorship form and sponsors letter to the embassy.   All takes about 10 working days.

you need to send original documents or have a good explanation why they cannot be supplied and this may reduce chance of successful application, thai documents ie childs birth certifcate etc have to accompanied by a certified english translation by a credited business.

 

From your posts you have not yet fully researched what you will need, suggest you look up UK Border Agency website and VFS Global website.

 

think you have a difficult task especially if it's your TGF's first visa application as well as her child's, but good luck anyway.

I brought me GF and her son last year, just try and make sure that they are out of school I thinks its April and November they have 4 weeks off If you PM me I will try and send you the completed forms I used

yes we are looking to go for the March April thai school summer holiday. all of us have been on holiday together (Me, her & our daughters)  2 in Thailand and 1 in turkey just for me her and my daughter. ( as her daughter had school)

 

Didn't realise we had to supply birth certificates thought it was just passports. Best reread those sites again.  cheers for that

 

 

We where going to wait but has already been pointed out the next thai school holiday is October/November don't really want to wait  that long. We really would like to try to see if we could live in UK together

 

So we are hoping next one can be here . Seems the next logical move, hope the embassy agree.. .
