School Boys Gun Fight In Front Of Their School

ANGTHONG – January 20, 2014 [PDN]; at 16.30, Pol.Lt.Capt.Pakanindej Prakorbworakarn, detective officer on the shift, Sawangha police station, Angthong, was notified that there was a shooting, and there were 2 victims, in front of Banpetch temple, moo 7, Sawangha, Angthong, so he went to the crime scene.

At the crime scene there was a lot of blood on the road floor, the victims had been sent to the hospital by Ruamkatanyoo foundation rescuers. The victims were a Mr.Thawatchai Klaikaeo, 43 years old,who had been shot in his right shoulder,and a Mr.Manu Suksamran, 58 years old,who had been shot in both leg.

Upon questioning a Mr.Manu, he said that he came to pick-up his nephew from school and while he was waiting he saw a teenage group arguing on the opposite site of the road so he rushed his nephew into his pick-up and tried to go home but there was the sound of gun fire and he ended up getting shot in both legs.

The Police arrested 5 kids all in grade 8-9, 14-15 years old.

From asking Boy (alias) he said that he had argued with Tian(alias), a grade 10 student from the same school, several days ago. He had been punched by Tian at Klongthanon market, and they had been arguing ever since. On the day of the shooting after school had finished he and his gang came out and stood on the opposite site of the temple. Art the friend of Tian, took out a gun and started shooting at them and some of them started shooting back.

Pol.Maj.Gen. Somsak Opajarernkit, commander of Angthong provincial police revealed that from questioning they had argued many times. After they accidentally shot some locals, they all ran away and the police only arrested a couple of them. However, the police sent forces to arrest all of the boys on both sides to prosecute them further.
