Chachoengsao to Pattaya by bus ... help!

Hi guys,

 

I'm going to be travelling from Chachoengsao to Pattaya as soon as tomorrow morning by bus ...

 

I am staying right by the bus station in Chachoengsao but so far have only been able to ascertain that it leaves at 6am! (there English is limited and so is my Thai)

 

Can anyone shed some light on how long it takes, is it a direct bus or do I have to change etc?  I would get a taxi but for the life of me I haven't seek any taxi-meter taxis anywhere since being here!

Bus should take about 90 minutes. I would think there would be more than one per day, though. They are probably telling you the first bus of the day, I'm guessing. But I could be wrong.

 

I actually did this route by train once. Now, there is only one (ordinary) train per day. Judging from the schedule (attached), the 283 train leaves Chachoengsao at 8:59, arriving Pattaya at 10:35, if it's running on time that is.

Maybe contact one of the Pattaya <-> Airport taxi services people here recommend. About the same distance as the airport. So, maybe one of those would pick you up in Chachoengsao for the same price.
