Hi all, I'm currently here on a 1yr non Immingrant 'O' Visa and was wandering if i went to immigration instead of doing a visa run to Cambodia what extension I would get.

I know a visa run would get me 3 more months but I have some mates unexpectedly just arrived and they're not here for long and would like to do the run after they have gone.

Sorry no help on the original question but I would not risk an overstay, you could end up in jail.

take your friends with you on your visa run to cambodia??

Do the visa run your back in day dont risk it.

My suggestion would be to try to get an extension a few days before your 90 days are up. If they don't give you one do the run.

I e mailed them and also called them because they probably won't even answer my e mail(typical Thais). After about 20 attempts they finally answered.

They told me with my visa that I would only be allowed a 7 day extension at a cost of 1,900 baht. Apparently this is the new ruling for all visas now for tourists.

7 days for 1,900 baht, what a rip off. I can pay 2,000 baht and get 3 months via a visa run. Needless to say I will be doing a visa run and not the extension.

If they ever do reply to my e mail i will copy & paste up here for all to see. Don't hold your breath though lol.
