Best lower cost hotels

Big Fletch

Recommended Posts

Have been reading these posts and the majority of the "best" hotels seem to fall in the 2000+ baht a night region - you get what you pay for I guess.

I generally spend under 1000 and get decent value but I am looking to get a bit more variety - staying in new areas encourages you to explore more!

Any recommendations on good value, girl friendly places??

Try Agoda.com , they give a brilliant discount . For example, I go direct to the Oberry resort hotel in Bangkok , they gave me a rate for 1,600 bt but I went to Agoda.com who is agency for all hotels including Oberry Resort, I got a rate for 1189 bt. Exactly same room. 411 bt cheaper than booking direct to the hotel.

I dont spend over 1000 baht a night on a room normal stay in soi 13/2 one with pizza hut at the end.  All your doing is sleeping a fucking in it why pay 3,000 + baht once you wake up you go out drinking.

True - my website works with Agoda and I list the full prices, i.e. including all taxes and fees. Just input your arrival date and number of nights and you will get a quote for all Pattaya hotels.

Then just look at the cheapest.

http://www.wgfriendly.com/search_girl_friendly_hotels.php?country=Thailand&city=Pattaya

For example, I input arrival on the 1st of Feb, 7 nights, and the 2 cheapest are:

Opey de Place at 29 USD/night : http://www.wgfriendly.com/girl_friendly_hotel_details.php?id=443&checkin=2014-02-01&nights=7

and

Southern Star resort at 21.33 USD a night: http://www.wgfriendly.com/girl_friendly_hotel_details.php?id=437&checkin=2014-02-01&nights=7

You know of any hotels near central festival that have family rooms or can supply a cot and roll out bed. I need a microwave and fridge too. Thanks

That's where I have been trying but DW don't have cots and honey doesn't have a big room and Vt6 tell me to ask them 2 weeks before I go away which is too late to wait for a confirmation.

The agent I usually use is Pat in pimonphan design but she is not replying.

If you know any other agents or owners please let me know.

I also tried joe lizard and viewtalay condo rentals :(

You may want to try Trivago.com.

Not only for lower cost hotels though - it "fishes" through the rates posted on internet and gives you the summary.

Often I find better deals this way.

Be careful with Agoda, read the small print. Room 17% more than stated price for taxes.

check my website for all-in prices.

I work with Agoda but I display real prices with all fees, taxes, extras etc. factored in.

i guess the OP is not one of the many people here that wake up at 8 am and start guzzling beer.

I won't disagree with you, you have your own website, but you must admit that Agodas first quote for a room excludes the 17% taxes fee.

Also there is the small print, which I think is very sneaky. They should just give the full room price at the start.
