My usual taxi service, Mr T, won't do rides to Bangkok during the protests, so what's the best way of getting to Bangkol/Sukhumvit from Pattaya? (I have quite an amount of luggage.)

As on the other thread, you are at cross purposes.

BKK - the airport, is not a problem.

Bangkok City is a potential problem.

@ Stakeout - I would go to Second Road and ask one of the Bangkok taxis loitering for a return fare, back to hotel to collect luggage and go.

Had no problem booking with Mr.T for BKK arrival on  Jan. 27

The bus service from North Pattaya to Ekkamai/Mo Chit is running normally.

+1

Mr T and PT Taxi are not going to Bkk while protests are on....

I made two trips to Bangkok this week. Both Wednesday and Thursday made a run to the Taiwan visa service center on Sathon road. Traffic was heavy but no sign of protests or blockages. Hired a local taxi for both trips and had no issues.

It's the one you don't hear that gets you, and the one you don't see coming that traps you.
