Hearing Aids

Hi Folks I am in need of a decent Hearing aid. I visit Pattaya once a month and have 5 days each visit. Any recommendations as to where I can get a good quality aid in Pattaya.

I am hard of hearing and wear a hearing aid, but I  find it difficult hearing the people I am talking to, this is due to the aid picking up the background noise of music and crowds.

Hi Guiness many thanks for replying, I also found this place last week. I emailed over the weekend and was told that I had to come to Bangkok for the hearing test and fitting. Obviously not keen on spending much time in Bangkok until things settle down. I would hope that there may be other shops in Pattaya. If not I will have to wait until February/march. Been hard of hearing for many years now a few more months wont hurt. Being hard of hearing is not too much of a problem in Pattaya. as long as the rest of the body functions work then I will get by.

 

Wengweng I also have trouble hearing people when out at night especially with noisy background. I just hope that I can find a hearing aid that can somehow filter the crap out.

 

 

will continue searching. currently working in India and found a few places but the pricing is not much better that the UK. same with glasses.

found another Hearing Aid shop in Pattaya, D Med on 389 Moo 6 Sukhumvit road. Sent email, see if I get any reply. In Pattaya next week, 23rd.

I have a hearing aid but since i got it about 10 yrs ago think i have used it maybe 3 times cost me 60000 baht but the Aussie govt paid for it..100% deaf in left ear due to getting a severe viral infection all those years ago....thank god we have 2 ears !

Visited D Med on Friday, good service, very professional and a good range of products. Settled for a widex Pa 115, about 30% less than UK prices. Should have done this year's ago.

Well I've now had the hearing aid a full week now. The difference is nothing short of amazing. Very pleased with the service from D Med, have already booked a follow up consultation for my next visit.
