ATM's in Pattaya- General Question(s)

Hi and Happy New Year!

So far in my experience, the cash Baht limit that can be withdrawn from an ATM in Pattaya is 20,000 (20K Baht).

Do you  know of anywhere where the withdrawal limit is higher- and, where it is? :)

There used to be one at Bangkok Pattaya hospital that dispensed 25k, but it's gone now.

Next up, seems the service charge  (network access fee) is now up to 180 Baht per transaction, from the previous 150. Do you know any that still charge 150?

It's only money, I know.... but if you've got any you want to give away, PM me :)

I think this is set by your own bank.

What's your daily limit on your card??

Take your card to a K-Bank Exchange kiosk (the kind with a person inside). Still 20,000 per kiosk per day, but no local fee. The one on Soi Buakhao would not take a debit card without a chip, but the one at Big C Extra does.

Sent from my too expensive Samsung tablet.

That's good to know. I must try this on my next trip

Aeon Bank atms were free, but there website said they would start charging 150 Baht from 1 January. Some guys have reported that they hadn't started charging as yet, but perhaps they are now. Anyone tried their atms recently?

Is it worth travelling around just to save 30 Baht?

Over the counter of a bank you can get a cash advance  greater than the 20,000 ATM limit ( I have got 50,000)  no 150 bht fee also

You need to bring your passport for ID though

I go into the bank and draw 100k using my Visa card as it costs less in the long run than 5 trips to ATM ,4 pounds 50 in fact as that is the max UK banks can charge for this service (at the moment)

My mind wandered and never came back ;)

No 150baht surcharge by Aeon last Friday - not many of their ATMs around, but usually found in Big C supermarkets.

player why don't you open a thai bank account the next time you are in Pattaya/Thailand.  You will get a thai passbook and ATM card.  Then before you go to Thailand transfer your spending money to your that bank account.  And then whilst your in Thailand use your thai ATM card to withdraw money from your thai banks ATM card.  And you will not be charged for with drawing money from the ATM machine

I tried several yellow ATMs in Pattaya but although they are supposed to give up to 30000 baht at a time I can't get more than 10000 baht, only says "invalid amount" if I try 20000 0r 30000 baht!?

I did manage to get out 20000 baht from an UOB ATM today.

Visa card holders pay 150 baht in ATM fee and Mastercard holders pay 180 baht in ATM fee.

ATMs have limit for amount of notes that is normally 20, some banks 25 or 30 notes and corresponding max values*1000. Sometime ATMs are out of 1000 baht notes so you can get only half from max value. And also max value depends on your cards issuing bank, in December-January I got with my card max 20000 baht from SCB-ATMs, all others gave max 10000 baht, year ago all ATMs gave with same card 20 or 30 notes and max values.
