Man Finally Arrested After He Had Been Raping A Girl For 8 Years

Police have arrested a man who has been raping a 17 years old girl since she was 9 years old. He threatened her not to tell anyone or he would beat her and stop giving her money. The case came to light after she became pregnant and confessed to her mother.

NAKORNRATCHASRIMA – January 9,2014 [PDN]; journalist reported that Pol.Lt.Col.Ammarin Taisungnern, detective of Pimai police station had arrested a Mr.Samai Putburi, 57 years old in the allegations of raping a 17 years old girl and also fathering the child of the girl as well, the baby was a month old. After being arrested he pleaded guilty.

From asking the mother of the girl, she said that she had 2 children and her husband died when her daughter was 4 years old. She then went to work in Pathumthanee, and left the kids with her in-laws and she sent them money every month and visited them in the holidays. The first child, her son went to be a conscript draftee. But when the daughter finished 9th grade she dropped out of school. In August of last year the daughter went to live with her mother in Pathumthanee and asked if she could work. She then took her daughter to somebody she knows who works at a gas pump near her work place.

While her daughter was living with her she looked like she was getting fatter and on November 25, 2013, she had a sudden painful stomachache which turned out to be she was pregnant, and it was a boy. She asked her who the father was and she said it was Mr.Samai Putburi, the cousin of her mother and he had been raping her since grade 3, 9 years old, and threatened her not to tell anyone, and if she did he would beat her and stop giving her money.
From asking Mr.Samai, he pleaded guilty to the allegations and the police charged him with raping a minor under 18 years old. The police will gather more evidence to prosecute him for raping a child under the age of 13 years old.
