Finnish Man Jumps To His Death

BANGKOK – Januray 9, 2014 [PDN]; at 02.20, Pol.Lt.Capt. Annop Sinsuebpol, detective officers from Bangplad police station were informed that a male foreigner had jumped off City Home Ratchada –Pinklao Condominium, Jaransanit wong, soi 95/2, Bangor, Bangplad,killing himself. The police reported it to his commander, and rushed to the crime scene, with Pol.Col.Suasit Suttipan, director of Bangplad police station, Pol.Maj.Col.Theerapas Yangyuen, detective inspector of Bangplad police station. Forensic police officers, forensic medical doctor from Wachira Payabal hospital, and Ruamkatanyu rescuers.

At the 5-star luxury 28 storey condominium behind the building on the 5th floor Mr.Mika Juha Ahlholm was found dead aged 44 years old from Finland. The body was found by his a Mr. Pridi merit favorable , 41, lying unconscious and on each wrist were wounds so rescuers performed first aid until the symptoms improved.

The officers then went to the 28th Floor to check the deceased room and found 49-year- old Finnish Mr.Sko Kalervo , the boyfriend of the deceased, was sitting and crying in the room, with blood all over the place the sliding glass door was smashed. From asking Mr.Sko, through an interpreter , which was a next door neighbor ,he said that he was married to the deceased and lived together in Finland . Later he worked as a bartender for cruise company in Thailand, so they moved to buy a condominium here in 2008 .

Mr.Sko said that he met Mr.Preedee, a Thai man which he persuaded to live with them, but the deceased had just discovered that he had cancer. Mr.Preedee told his friends’ that he was going to a party, but didn’t tell them where it was. When he came back home drunk the deceased shouted a Mr.Preedee, that made Mr.Preedee get upset and he punched the window broking it cutting his hand causing the blood pool in the room.When the deceased saw the blood from Mr.Preedee’s hand , he didn’t know what to do so he took off his boxers to stop the bleeding but they still were bickering so the deceased jumped off the building and died. Mr.Preedee saw what happened and ran down to hug the man’s dead body even though he had already lost blood a lot he passed out next to the corpse. “Mr.Sko said.

Pol.Lt.Capt.Annop revealed that he wasn’t really convinced what Mr.Sko had said, so the police had to wait for Mr.Preedee to regained consciousness to give evidence. The police sent the body to the doctor, to perform an autopsy to find the real cause of death, and would coordinated with the Finland Embassy in Thailand to help to contact his relatives to attend the entire case inspection following-up both from medical evidence and the autopsy of a case before a clear conclusion .

Thought it was Sweden who is the highest.. Anyway, this story sound fishy, I believe thailand had the highest rate of condo jumpers, I have read like this nearly every week.

None of the above, that's just an urban legend. Probably stems from those super depressing black and white Bergman movies from the 50s and 60s.
