New RULES for visa payment

Online payment to become mandatory for Thailand

16 December 2013

From 16 December 2013 all UK visa applicants in Thailand will be required to pay for their visa online as part of the online application process.

Payment can be made using Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card. Other methods of payment will not be accepted from this date.

Once customers have applied and paid for their visa online they will still need to visit the visa application centre to submit their documents and provide their biometric information (fingerprints and digital photograph). Appointments to attend the visa application centre should be booked online on when completing the online application form.

The integration of payment into the online application system will provide a more streamlined visa application process and is part of a wider change to allow almost all our customers to apply and pay for their visas online by 2013/14.

If you complete an online application before 16 December you can pay using one of the methods currently available, until 12 January 2014. From 12 January, we will only accept applications where payment has been made online.

There seems to be two topics on this subject.

A week ago i spoke to the Officer at Pattaya  (sorry) Chonburi Immigration who deals with the 'Retirement Visas'.and there was no mention of any of this.

Dont know if this includes Retirement Visas, only that it came in 16th Dec as you can see by the link. I would double check with them to be sure.

Err....OP refers to Thais and other non-Brits applying for UK visas, not Brits in Pattaya seeking Thai visas.
