Anyone here have first hand knowledge of hotels in Hua Hin? I'm going for a week at end of January and while Agoda etc give a vast variety of hotels and Reviews I'd like to hear from anyone who had been recently. Don't want to pay any more than 2.5k per night

I'll be going there with TGF so won't be mongering as such but will be out and about for a drink at night. Mate of mine lives there and said he will check a few out for me. Thanks in advance, Phil

she asked "do you lub me?" i replied "i lub fucking you!"

I stayed at the Tanawit hotel, it was well located & very clean. The breakfast was also very good & the staff were reasonably helpful. I can't remember the price because my old man paid, but it must've been good value because he stays there every time. There was parking out front, and the pool area was nice too.

Pattaya is like enjoying yourself -it's not for everyone.

I stayed at the seahorse first 4 nights. Nice enough, big pool, needed a clean tho, the "jacuzzi" in my suite was a joke, didn't even bother filling it. Rock hard bed too and definitely over priced at 3800 baht. Its a bit out of town but there are some nice beaches and a seafood market/ restaurants nearby.

I stayed one night at the Tanawit and kicked myself for not staying the whole time there. Nice soft bed 2 pools, good location and 1300 a night. Bit dated but good value.

A mate stayed at wannara hotel, similar area and much nicer, about 2500 baht. My suggestion would be only trust a review from a friend or check the places/prices yourself, big variety of quality and price

Got to think is it worth the effort Hua Hin . read a few reports beach offish , train runs through it , not a lot of excitement , still thinking.

It was nice for a change, I usually spend every RandR in pattaya and starting to get bored of it. There isn't A lot to do in hua hin but it was good to kick back at the beach and spend some time with GF. There is a HH equivalent of Soi Six up there, called soi 81. Had a few beers with a mate there one afternoon, But didn't see anything worth a run
