After questioning the group of kidnappers they said that their boss ordered them to go and get a Cambodian florists that hasn’t paid back his loan so they waited around until they saw a Mr. Nguyen Van Tu who was selling flowers so they thought that Mr. Nguyen Van Tu was the one their boss wanted and dragged him into the van. But once they threatened him they found out that he was Vietnamese not Cambodian.

Initially, Mr. Nguyen Van Tu (the victim) said that he didn’t know the group of offenders and he had never asked for any loan. After investigation, the police assumed that the group of trouble makers had kidnapped the wrong person in a case of mistaken identity. However, the officers charged the group of trouble makers in the allegations of detaining, forcing and threatening to extort money. Then all offenders were detained and were sent to the investigation officer to prosecute them further according to the Thai law.
