BKK wednesday for visa application interview

Any last minute advice for me and girlfriend for interview ?

done visa ourselfs ,,got all documents ie pics , wage slips (her) 2 letters from her last

and one from present job , boss saying he will keep job open for her cashier in both jobs

hotel first one resturant job now ,, pics of her daughter with us together

all my bank details , divorce papers (me) phone records, western union records,

her credit card history,bills from condos we stated at 2.

what chances of getting visa anyone advice for her? thanks all

Papers (rental agreement, mortgage etc) that show you are capable of accommodating GF (to support the

pics you've already prepared. Simple letter from your employer confirming your job/salary. Do a bit of prep about health insurance to cover GF while she's in the UK.

Make sure she knows and understands what you are planning on doing while you are there. I think one of the things they want to know is that she is a genuine tourist (or perhaps visiting friends). If she does not have any specific plans to do either they may have doubts. She should also know where she will be staying and the names of people you intend to take her to meet.

i have all papers own house divorce papers,,, im self employed od 28 years so cant get letter but plenty in bank to show this ?

also if we get visa do we go back to bkk to pick up visa and how do they contact you if you have visa or not???

Self-employed - bank statements should cover that.

 

Interview over, your GF will probably receive a telephone call/e-mail advising her that her passport is ready to collect/application denied. [Caveat: been almost a year since I helped steer someone through the process - maybe a BM with more recent experience can chip in].

Once you have submitted application form, they are not guaranteed to interview them but obviously they are with your TG,

sometimes they just phone them and ask a few questions on the phone.

After the interview, they will send a message to HER to come and collect her passport from VAC but they will not say whether she has it or not, this can take weeks sometimes, so dont book any flights.

When she collects her passport it will either have a visa stamp inside or a refusal letter stating what reasons why she has been refused. Collection of passports is usually in the late afternoon from the VAC.

Make sure she knows...

 

How many bedrooms/ kitchen/ bathrooms you have.

Where in UK you stay/ will be staying and where is it near (nr Manchester London, Preston etc etc]

How many children you have and how old.

You been married before and what happened to the marriage ( tell her she dont know, you wont talk about this)

Who she be meeting when she gets there.....your parents brothers etc

WHAT SHE WILL BE DOING.....

and most importantly

They might ask her why she will return to Thailand. This is very hard but can be be shown by having property and ties to her family/children. She has to tell THEM that she wants to return and that she has commitments to her family.

No interview, VFS staff only check online application form is completed and signed, foto is correct, all additional papers/information are submitted, take bio-metrics (fingerprints etc)

 

lf application has been completed correctly uk border agency should be able to make a decision and would not need any other information from your girlfriend, she will probably not hear from them until time to collect passport/original documents.

we went yesterday to regent house ,, we submited our application online 15 th dec ,, as from the 16h dec you can only pay online ,, when we got there yesterday the feller at the outside desk  asked us why we hadnt paid online , i told him about how you couldnt pay onlin till the 16th , he then went into a side office and spoke to his boss , who allowed  us lol to go get a bank draft in the bank in the regent bulding .... so he needs to do it online or point out to them he made the application before the 16 th dec 2013 ,, and i think you can pay with any card not just thai visa,,,, hope this helps
