It is a Thai seafood restaurant at which I've long enjoyed dining ... after all these years, I don't know it's name ... this would be helpful.

 

 

It is, incidentally, located at the very north end of Na Kluea Road, just as it peters out and ends as a narrow alley, immediately before the Ananya Condominium ... very local ... moderate prices ... great menu ... beachfront al fresco seating ... a super place to watch the sundown ... has a couple of old teak rice barges sunken into the sand just offshore for a nice effect.

... unsure if and how the 3rd Road location tries to differentiate itself from the Na Kluea Road location, but the beach-fronting Na Kluea location is a very resort type of restaurant ... guessing 3rd Road location would be more of an urban atmosphere.

 

... 3rd Road location might catch more walk-in tourist traffic, whereas Na Kluea is more of a destination restaurant ... unless it has been discovered, the Na Kluea location is overwhelmingly locals.

 

... if price points, menus and kitchens are equivalent, I'd favor the seaside ocean views to street-fronting traffic views ... but ... without a car, I'd hate to be held hostage out there by the Pattaya taxi mafia.

I am on facebook and a Thai girl on my computer did not sign out and my shortcut now opens with her page.. I can search for my name and my facebook page comes up but all in Thai.

 

There is probably (I hope) an 'English ' button to click so can you give me the Thai word for 'English'.

The language settings in Facebook are connected to your account.

 

So you can do 2 things:

 

1. Log out of her account and log back in with with your own account. Everything should then change back to English automatically:

Go to the settings button (the little wheel at the top right of the screen), you get a couple of options in Thai, the one that says ออกจากระบบ will log you out.

 

2. Change the language to English in her account, but the next time she is online she will see everything in English as well:

Go to the settings again, click on account settings (ตั้งค่าบัญชีผู้ใช้ in Thai), then at the bottom on language (ภาษา) and change it to English

Hi Slick,

 

many thanks for that. I managed to get back my own Facebook page in English although by a different route at the end.

 

Step 1 was perfect and i then got her Sign up /Login page in Thai.

 

Step 2: Could not see ตั้งค่าบัญชีผู้ใช้ but at foot of page amongst all the Thai, I saw "English (US)"and clicked this. The Sign up / Login page then changed to English so i logged in.

 

I got message saying my Password (which i am sure was correct) did not match user name but they offered to accept it as a changed Password and i am now back on track.
