With all that coast line and islands, its a great place to see!   Getting anywhere, at the moment is so hampered by the infrastructure.  Burma can and will be able to be self sufficient with it's oil reserves and minerals.   Amazingly they will have ski resorts also.  The only question is when?  Once they get this infrastructure going, maybe 20 years---this will be a paradise!   That said, the last time I was there, a descent hotel was 3 times what you would pay In BKK!
