Not looking exactly for visa information, but I figured this was the place to post this.

I have a US fiancee visa approved here in the US and in the process of being sent to Thailand for that end of it. What I am looking for

is a website or someone who knows the Thai wife's rights in Thailand concerning ownership of property, keeping her Thai passport and

citizenship if she gets US citizenship and wants to live in Thailand, things like that. I am having a hard time finding the information to

ease some of her concerns.

Anyone know where I can get the information easily on the internet? Thanks!!!!

She can have 2 passports one US one Thai nothing changes at all , when her Thai passport runs out simply renew it. Or if you return on holiday she can renew it then change it into your name if you like.

It affects nothing she is always Thai and is does not affect any land buying laws as far as im aware.

Thanks for the info. I suspected as much from talking to another Thai lady I now who got US citizenship last year and has a condo in BKK and keeps her Thai passport. Still wish I could find a site that would have all the info.

i really aint an expert but i did read somewhere that a child born to a thai/falang can only hold dual nationality until his 18 birthday at which point they have to chose. not sure if this is the same as citizenship but thought i might mention it.

Yes if a child is born in UK you can have 2 passports i suspect the same in Thailand forever i would think 18 birthday ?

International law is more or less the same worldwide on citizenship.

Exactly what do you want to know ?
