the context i have always heard it used in is as in crazy 'clown like' someone who is a bit whacky... but not mentally ill. Stupid as in silly, but not thick.

Ahhhh... finally, something I can comment on... Yes, Ting Tong, means crazy funny! Not literally crazy as in mentally ill... hahaha..

But crazy funny, like someone who is joking around..... I have 2 friends here in california who are Thai girls... they are here learning to speak english.. One of them use to work in Pattaya as a secretary in a hotel or business... Well... see you later Ting Tongs... hahaha....

It is a slang for crazy but wouldnt use that in any other setting than the bar scene.

Sometimes I call my friend`s wife, an ex BG, ting tong mak mak when she is doing funny stupid things.

Hi,

 

I always use it in a funny context, like 'Why you are so ting tong today?' when my girlfriend acts happy or funny.

 

I never considered it as being negative.
