Rayong Police rushed to a horrific scene where a mother and her pregnant daughter had been set on fire by the daughter’s boyfriend.

RANONG – December 27,2013 [PDN]; Pol.Capt. Weerapan Chaiudom, detective officer of Muang Ranong, were notified that a man had set fire to 2 victims. It happened in front of Soi Taklob, Saidang, Ranong, so he went with Pol.Lt.Cat. Sombat Chumpol, the head of the detective department of Muangranong police station, and the forensic science officers.
The incident occurred at a grocery store and there were 2 victims that had gasoline poured onto them and then set on fire. The victims were his 17 year old pregnant wife and the 33 year old mother of the girl. The offender is named as a Mr.Jeerasak Petchin, 31 years old.

Before the incident, the man came to the store, the girl was calculating, and writing the accounts with her mother a Mrs.Jampee. The man then took gasoline from a 200 litre tank to fill his pink Honda Scoopy , he then took so more gasoline and splashed it onto the 2 women and set them on fire. The victims cried out and the man laughed, and then rode away. The mother ran out to get help. Her relatives helped to extinguish the fire and called the police and rescuers, to take them to hospital.

The wife was sent to ICU and was in a coma, and the other woman who was 2 months pregnant had suffered 80-90% burns and was sent to an isolation unit in hospital. Her mother had suffered 50-60% burns and the nurses applied medicine and closed the wounds. She told the police that was her son in law who had committed this brutal crime.

From questioning eyewitnesses, they told police that, Mr.Jeerasak and the girl lived together in Trang, and in early December the girl called her mother and told her she was pregnant, and asked her mother to take her back home. Mr.Jeerasak followed her home and lived in the house but not the same room. Mr.Jeerasak worked in a rubber shop, but they argued a lot because the girl wanted to split up with Mr. Jeerasak, which made him angry and said ” If I don’t own you, no one will” and then started constantly threating her “Unless I die, I’ll come again to kill all of you.” The police then charged him with attempted murder and he will be held and prosecuted further according to Thai law.

Crazy. The mother was 16 when she got pregnant. That would be statutory rape in most parts of the US. And what's a 31 year old guy doing with a 17 year old? She was pregnant, so there's a good chance they have been at it for a while too. Guy must have been a real stand up gent. RIP to those two women and the unborn child.
